Corgi Vanguards Ford Sierra XR4i - Black (1/43)

The Sierra range was launched in September 1982 and the XR4i arrived just seven months later. Its three window side profile and biplane rear spoiler meant it was visually the closest Sierra to the Probe III concept car Ford had previously shown to gauge reaction to their radical new 'Jelly Mould' look.

Ford's brochure and advertising material featured the car modelled here and used the slogan 'Man and high performance machine in perfect harmony', adding the words high performance to the slogan used to market the entire Sierra range.
